Come serve with us!
Host Site / Meeting Space for Community Organizations and Church Start-Ups
Friedens currently serves as a meeting and worship space for two developing congregations from the community.
We also host the South Salt Creek Community Organization (SSCCO).
​
Congregation members serve as liaisons to individual organizations.
Lancaster Rehabilitation Weekly Worship Service
Since the 1970's Friedens has partnered with what has Lancaster Manor and is now Lancaster Rehabilitation Center.
​
A team of lay people and the pastor together provide for weekly worship to occur on Wednesdays at 3pm for the residents.
We are delighted to serve in this way. Volunteers welcome!
Each year the congregation gathers school supplies, sorts and packs them and they are sent to students around the world.

This year we made 110.
FEAST is a "ministry of worship, meal, and study for as many as 40-50 FEAST partners (inmates) and their families". Started and coordinated by Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Friedens collaborates by preparing and serving meals several times a year for their Sunday fellowship.
Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry
Together with other Lutheran congregations in Lincoln we support the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry through donations of food and money. In addition, members have volunteered here and we distribute food boxes to the community as needed.

Through our partnership with the Nebraska Synod and the churchwide body of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) we partner with a host of organizations across the state and around the world as in their outreach and ministry efforts to local people.
